Final Event of the 4th LTT!

On 29th March we organized a Final Event of our project – a large, international sporting presentation of project sports – floor hockey, cheerleading and rugby. It was the dissemination event summarising the whole “Facilitating Inclusion Through Sports” Erasmus+ project. FITS students and teachers, supported by our project partners – members of Warmińsko-Mazurski Okręgowy Związek Rugby and Rugby Team Olsztyn –  had the opportunity to show everything they have learnt since the project started. The event took place in Nidzica’s local Sports Centre (Hala MOSiR). Around 300 hundred guests  – students from other local schools, came to take part in it. We were also honoured with the presence of  local authorities, such as our regional Member of Polish Parliament (and former professional volleyball player, member of Polish National Volleyball Team) Mr Paweł Papke,  Deputy of the County Office, Mr Paweł Przybyłek, and Head of the local Education Department, Ms Jolanta Tymińska. We started the event by describing the project and Erasmus+ program, after that all three FITS sports were presented by project participants: floor hockey, cheerleading and rugby. The rules were explained, drills, techniques and figures were presented. Invited guests had a chance to perform the drills, play short scrimmages, take part in various tasks and competitions. They were also awarded for their effort and engagement. Everyone had plenty of fun!

TAG Rugby at P.E. lessons in ZSO Nidzica!

We are introducing TAG Rugby on P.E. lessons in ZSO Nidzica!

P.E. Teacher and certified Rugby Instructor, Mr Krzysztof Łasiewicki, began introducing non-contact, TAG version of rugby to our students. Young people learned basic rules and regulations of the game, the types of gameplay and basic drills and techniques. Now they will be practicing their skills and flow of the game on the lessons. We thank @Warmińsko-Mazurski Okręgowy Związek Rugby for their help!

 

 

FITS and Erasmus Day in Súkromná SOŠ Pro scholaris Žilina.

On 29th November 2018, 97 students of the Private Vocational School Pro scholaris and other pupils from the regional primary and secondary schools had the opportunity to attend FITS Day, that was a part of Erasmus Day. From 8 a.m. till 12 p.m. they participated in workshops and seminars. The special guest were Ms. Harantová Smudová and Mr. Chlebana, experts in dancing and floorball, who explained the basic rules of those activities. Students danced and thanks to that they could learn more about social inclusion and emotions. Also Ms. Dobešová spoke about her organization „Áno pre život” („Yes to life”), which focuses on disadvantaged people, helping them to find the way to better life.

The poster shows how great the Erasmus + is. The international meeting „Everyone Can Play! – Hockey took place in Žilina in January 2018. After presentations of the countries, regions, towns and schools the international teams took part in a number of teambuilding activities. The students could visit HK Dukla Trenčín and meet a profesional hockey players.  Students and teachers attended  a live ice-hockey match, they also took part in workshops on how to play floorball and all the students played matches between mixed international teams. And for now we are looking forward to Bulgaria, because  Everyone can do it – dance!

Our weekly trainings!

Under the supervision of Mr Ivailo Papov, project participants , along with other school students not directly involved in project activities, are continuing their practices after school to teach others and practice floor hockey. We practice drills and techniques, play small scrimmages and mini-games. Everybody has a lot of fun!

PRO SCHOLARIS welcomes the president of Žilina self-governing region

On Tuesday 5, 2018 there was held a meeting of the students of Private Vocational School PRO SCHOLARIS with the president of Žilina self-governing region, Ing. Erika Jurinová.

At the beginning of the meeting, one of the teachers introduced the school, its study programmes, after-school activities and also the European projects Erasmus+ in which this school has been participating successfully for several years.

Later on, Ing. Erika Jurinová was talking about her political career in Slovakia and about her function in the regional policy. She explained the  main goals of the development of Žilina self-governing region in the following years. The president gave a presentation about her plans in the social field, different ways of social inclusion and also about helping socially disabled and handicaped people. At the end of the meeting she was trying to answer the students´ questions.

We would like to thank Ing. Erika Jurinová for visiting our school and having a very interesting discussion with us. We wish her to achieve all her goals while helping to fulfill the needs of the people in the region of Žilina.

 

 

Our weekly trainings!

Sports Day with the students from „N.Y.Vaptsarov” Vocational High School.

Today, students from our  school conducted a number of sports activities: They played different sports, such as volleyball, basketball, football, and of course floor hockey. The day was a c hance to present the rules of floor hockey to the greater school community and play some mini-games together. The students were motivated, got to know each other  and were eager to try the new sport.

Sports workshop and friendly games with students from Vocational School of Trade and Catering.

On Wednesday, 19.03.2018, the members of  FITS Club conducted a workshop and played a friendly game of floor hockey with students from Vocational School of Trade and Catering in Vratsa. The guests were taught proper warm-up techniques, instructed about the rules of floor hockey, and had the Chance to practice drills and game situations. Afterwards, a game took place. The guests liked the sport and we all had plenty of fun!
