LTT event: Everyone Can Play – Rugby
Learning/Teaching/Training event – short-term exchange of groups of pupils in Poland (March 2019);
Subject: Everyone Can Play – Rugby.
During the fourth LTT event students ( especially those suffering from various kinds of exclusion) and teachers will participate in ice-breaking and teambuilding activities. They will take part in presentations, interactive tutorials, workshops and training sessions with rugby professionals in order to learn the rules and drills of this sport. They will put the acquired knowledge into practice, forming mixed international teams and playing scrimmages. As a teambuilding event they will have the opportunity to watch a live rugby or American football game (for many of students their first live experience with these sports). Students will learn the advantages of being physically active and socially involved. Teachers will develop skills and lesson materials that will help them to integrate social inclusion through sports in daily educational practices.
At the end of the meeting we will organize a large, international sporting event which will include tournaments of rugby and floor hockey between mixed international teams, accompanied by cheerleading and dance performances. We will invite spectators from other local schools, educational organizations, local authorities etc. In the intermissions we will organize sports contests for spectators (with prizes).
